E85 ethanol is a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% unleaded gasoline. It is an alternative fuel used in flex-fueled vehicles. There are now millions of vehicles on the road using this alternative fuel. E85 has more than 97 octane level making it suitable only to vehicles designed to handle that octane level such as the fuel-flex vehicles. This fuel blend has more oxygen content than straight gasoline making it burn more completely in the combustion chamber of the engine. The E85 being an alternative fuel may not be readily available. This is where the flexibility of the flex-fueled designed vehicle comes into play. The flex-fueled vehicle can use the lower octane gasoline without ethanol blend. It can go drunk with straight gasoline.

 

Plus, for some, it may not be wise to make the switch over to this.
If it is readily available by time I get my setup together, I'll probably use it for the turbo car.
Remember kids, you need almost double the injector to use this stuff.

If you guys are going to E85 without changing anything other than the tune...I hope you engine replacing rubber and plastic parts.
