Good turbo diesel forums?
Two of my buddys have had extensive problems with their 1 ton diesels.
A guy 5 houses down has sunk unsaid amount of money into repairs to the drive train
Meanwhile i pick up parts for them in the powerstroke.

the motor in a dodge is good, tranny sucks. we had a 99 that had all sorts of electrical issues with the guage cluster. imo, cummins in a ford with the 6.0 tranny would be the ideal truck. dodge has a great motor but a shitty truck.
The cummings motor is a very high quality product.
Gotta get the best of both worlds and put 'em together.

oh yes, once you start with oil burners you won't go back. I drive a Ford 6.4 with 564RWHP, and am building up a 96 Dodge 12v for drag racing. If you got any question ill answer them for you.
Dodge has the best Engines, Ford has the best bodys, and Duramax has the best transmission. period.
If your just starting and want to do everything with a turn of some wrenchs and all mechanical go find a 12v Cummins. If you want electronic more up to day tuning, get yourself a Common Rail or a 6.4 Ford if you can afford it. Im not a Chevy fan but never worked on one. I purchased my 12v reg cab long bed 4x4 for 6k with 180k miles. There are 12v out there with well over 200k some even 300k.
