but since you already have a broken leaf it might be worthwhile to get 4 new leafs from an offroad company for the lift. Will be a little more functional but cost a little more too.

You also might be able to get coil spacers up front.
what the fuck 4 leafs? where would the other two go??

fuck costing more lol, i just want it to be able to go on the beach and drive on the highway.

I might do this to mine also. Once I crank the torsion bars, would there be a way to readjust the camber or would I just be shit out of luck? Hell if I'm going to put tires on and keep having to replace the bitches.

It can be adjusted by buying a kit for it. Basically a adjustable ball joint.

What I'm sayin is since one of your oem leaf springs is apparently broken, a slightly more expensive but marginally better way to lift your explorer would be to buy 4 "new" aftermarket leafs to get the lift---instead of just shackles.

That way your explorer will ride better, not wobble nearly as much at highway speeds, and will flex out better than on oem leaf springs.

But as it's already been said, the cheapest route is just to buy taller shackles.

The truck doesnt have 4 leafs. Leafs on the rear and springs on the front bud.

The ball joints I actually got from auto value I believe.

Tie rod ends dont need to be touched unless you actually change the ball joints.

As far as the leafs, I have no clue where you would get them. Mmaybe someone smarter can chime in on that. Ask Joe where he got his shackles for his durango. I remember him having good results with that place.

shit i knew that.

Spic: If you're really on a tight budget you can probably check out some message boards and piece together a "homemade" kit from junk yard cars or a previous lifted explorer. There should be alot of universal parts to fit your suv.
