can you get all season tires for sportbikes? only asking cause every tire i've seen has had huge contact patches and didnt look like they'd be too friendly in the wet.
Yes and no. You can get tires that have better tread for seperating the water; but you still only have two wheels.

No matter how hard it's raining I can still do whatever speed I want to in a straight line. It's stopping and tight turns that are a problem.

To turn a bike means you have to lean the bike. Leaning the bike makes it so you have less contact between the wheels and the pavement. Less contact in wet conditions is hazardous. But in a straight line there is relatively no difference between wet or dry conditions.

I was doing 80-110 the whole way home on 64. Trying to beat the rain. By the time I made it to 5 miles from the tunnel there was no more rain. But I was still drenched.

12.6598@113.24 with my "take it easy it's my first run ever trying to spot the exit hey pay attention to shifting stay in your lane wow this is really cool boy I just blew this run and I just blew by the exit sign" run.

I really thought I was gonna see a 13 something on my slip. Was totally surprised with the 12.6. My bike is totally stock and the best times I've ever seen for a stock '00' F4 is 11.8 with a pro riding it. So I'm pretty happy with the time I got with my jacked up run.

I think with a few runs I would have been under 12. I'll be there October 31 for the rain date for sure.

I need to get a trailer though; so there won't be anymore riding home in the rain.

I'd post a pic of the slip but there isn't a button for posting pics anymore.

Also forgot to mention the dude I ran against. This dude was on a '00' ZX-6R. Had a cam, jet kit, valves, pistons, he just named off a ton of stuff. Claimed he raced a viper venom on the street and killed it.

ANYWAY......he got a 13.4@105. Just figured I'd mention that...

There were some dudes on liter and larger bikes that all ran in the 9's. They were some sweet bikes!

LoL, i know who you are talking about. He didnt run the viper, he didnt get a chance to. I was gonna take my bike, but i figured on the rain, and i heard somewhere that you have to have leathers to run, which i dont have, so......
