its the potomac river on the boarder to DC. Its a fast running river so you will need steel lines and heavy weights to anchor. Yeah I was wrong about the spot, thats saltwater. Maybe they are white perch? we usually catch them with a casting net then cut the heads and the body off and put them both on a steel line. catfish there get pretty big. Biggest ive ever caught at chainbridge was a little over 2 1/2 foot. took 15 minutes to reel in. Shrimp usually gets catfish and corn works on catfish, bass, and trout.

I picked up a st. croix rod and a Quantum bait caster yesterday. I spent 4 hours in the rain breaking them in today. Ended up pulling out one of my biggest bass ever too. caught 14 bass total, 6 were decent size.

Chainbridge is fun to fish, last time i was there, i was drunk and fell in, the current is very strong. Another good place is in Alexandria, Theres a parking lot near the woodrow wilson bridge you can park at and walk some trails and you can fish under the bridge.

I went fishing in Nags Head this weekend caught a couple spanish macks and did some crabbing.
