370Z Opinions
I drove a 370Z very briefly not too long ago. I can't really advise you on what car suits your needs, but I can say that it is much improved from the 350Z. I wasn't a fan of the 350Z at all. I thought it felt like a Japanese Mustang. The 370Z however has a much more buttoned down European feel. It's really similar in feel to a 911. It's still not an extremely hard edged car, but the performance is there and the fun-to-drive factor that the 350Z seemed to be missing has been found.
If you would trade your Z06 for a base 911 but can't afford it, I think you'd be happy with a 370Z.

Other than a few little quirks I love them. Huge improvement over the 350. The rev-matching is a little gimmicky is you ask me, but at least it isn't a stupid paddle box. And if you paint the lower front valence black so the "teeth" aren't as visible it's a beautiful car. Definitely prettier than the 350Z and WAY prettier than any C5.
Stock VQ exhaust notes have always sucked. I don't know why they took a page from the 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix Handbook Of Contrived Exhaust Tuning, but they did. Nothing you couldn't fix yourself, though.
Also, that one gauge that doesn't match anything else would drive me nuts. I'd just wait for Nissan to realize how stupid it is and then order the better gauge from the dealer when it's released.
But seriously, it's a sweet car all things considered.

Well, it has about 60k miles on it. I love the car -- in fact, I love every aspect of it.
I just want to own something with less miles right now while I save up for a new z06, because that's what I'll always want.. deep down inside my little ticker.

used C6Z prices are way down right now... why not get one? You'll find you have to give your C5Z away though.
Saw a 370 in person for the first time at the gym a couple of weeks ago... looks nice, but the rear brake light thing looks like a tow hitch. The Nismo bumpers are much improved.
