It does not share a single part with the cavalier.

Different platform. Different body. Different interior. Different drivetrain. So its the same because it took the place of the cavalier? Good logic. I can understand the SRT-4 arguement. but saying the cobalt and the cavalier are the same is retarded.

So why was the tranny replaced and the motor rebuilt already?

motor blew i think because it jumped timing some how and piston hit valves.
transmision just like went out on me so my extended warranty company had it towed to heritage and they said it was shot,replaced it for free and i was on road again....i dunno freak shit...but all new now
