I'd suggest a ninja 250 as well. That was my first starter bike, and im sure the first for many others.

Can be had for under $800 for an older one if you look hard enough. 1988-2008 are identical. The only thing different between the years are the colors. If you can find a 1988 for a song, and it needs parts, then you can put parts off an 05 on it just fine.

Dont go pocket bike. Not even close to being the same!

 

hey names david i got a pocket rocket decent shape motor runs awsome but needs a throttle cable 30 bucks with a new handle at pocket rockets.com and needs a coil 40 bucks at the same sight. its a good bike it will do 50+ its a 110cc 4 stroke good tires good seat i can send some pics its fast and would get you ready for a bike also it is a 4 speed manual without the clutch is a centrifical clutch. pm me man if u got any intrest
