i was referring to checking the internal components of the distributor....coil, ignitor, etc. but yeah if you have the obd2 plug i would just suggest going to a local advance auto and they will check the codes for free if you dont have a obd2 code scanner. one more question...how does the car idle and run when its below 4000rpms? shaky? sputter?

nah, it runs great actually. i can make a vid, and take a few pics if it would help. i dont think its the distributor, just becasue its the same one off the old motor. worked good before......theres one sensor with tiny vacume lines of it.....not attached to anything. cant even see where it would go. the intake was switched.....ill take a few pics, maybe that would help....they will suck becasue its dark, but im just trying to get some ideas.

yeah, sensors can be a bitch sometimes. its not uncommon to accidentally switch them up from time to time.

looks like a difrent intake mani.....theres vacume lines on the old one, but none on the new one. ive got a pic coming up in a sec, sensor of some sort with vacume lines.....looked like it was on the old intake. ideas?

this is what im thinking the problem is.....nowhere to hook it up! what is it? sorry im sounding so dumb, just never worked with one of these cars.

im pretty sure the first picture is the evap purge control solenoid valve, it should connect from the black of the intake manifold to the evap canister. check out this website. hopefully it will help. http://media.photobucket.com/image/b...13st70_e02.gif

so that wouldnt do anything for the problem im having then huh? i had noticed the evap canister was not hooked up. ill try to get that taken care of.
