High mileage 2005s are in the mid 20's. A clean one w/ low miles are high 20s to lower 30's. A clean '06 vert w/ lower miles is in the low/mid 30s.

Yeah, I had one of my techs at work lower it the next morning after I bought it, still need to drop the rear a bit more. I love it. It's better than my c5 in every way I can think of. It feels more nimble is just as fast if not a little quicker, interior is nicer (never had nav or heated seats before), rides better, and I like the bodystyle a little more too. As far as mods, just basic bolt on stuff. A varraram, b&b bullets, headers is all I really want as of now. The stock exhaust is killing me with the dinky tips and you can't hear the car at all.

My uncle picked mine up for $24,800 at fredricksburg auto auction and was offered $27 wholesale for it the same day by a couple other dealers. You will pay more than that typically for an 06 with decent miles, all options and no paintwork, at least that's what they're going for retail. I paid $25 for mine once he got it home and all was said and done.

Wow... hell of a buy. Nice to have connections in the auto-biz. Any clue why it hit the auction blocks in the first place?

FYI the C6 vararam is a POS... it's junk. Go w/ the halltech or the Callaway Honker etc. I'd go w/ Corsa Extremes if I had a C6, but Bullets are a good choice too

Yeah, I was surprised when he called and told me he found my car already, I thought for sure I would have to wait a few months to get one at the right price. Someone traded it at a dealer in FL that doesn't deal with corvettes so it ended up at the auction somehow. It's funny how cars end up at different auctions, but I'm glad it happened that way!

As far as the intake, thanks for the advice, I'll look into the other brands, that is just what was on my past car and it worked well. I had b&b bullets on the c5 and absolutely loved the way they sound, but I'll look into the corsa extreme as I've never heard anything about it.

I can't see the pics, but I assume it's the Vette in your avatar. Great deal.
