All you need is a dust mask just like anything else that produces dust, and clothing that will cover your skin so you won't get carbon splinters or contact dermatitis from the epoxy.
If you're really worried about dust, put your shop vac hose next to the area you're cutting.
As for cutting tools, regular tools work fine. Carbide and diamond tools last much longer for production work, but aren't necessary at all for regular use. Sometimes using carbide grit saw blades (carbide grit instead of teeth) works really well and doesn't splinter thin parts as easily. Just like anything though, the right tooth pitch for the material thickness and things like that are important.
