i just want to know what you have seen with 2" piping.

dont really care about 2.25", 2.5", 3". i know that 396whp can be done with 2" piping and a very inefficient intercooler on a motor that is 0.3 liter smaller than mine with a gt2871r. just wanted to know if anyone else is using 2" for higher hp builds. right now im thinkin ill be happy with ~400whp, but later on i may want to get a gt3071r and push around 440whp or something. just dont know if my 2" piping would flow that much.

and it is all about CFM. i konw that the max CFM ill get with 2" is around 570 CFM. 2.25" is over 700CFM. i know with 2.25" pipng 440whp can be done..

and remember you want as small piping as you can get that will support your power goals. going with 3" piping for anything over 300whp is just not smart. you dont need 3" piping til way over 500whp. youll get slower spool up and turbulence.

If you do not care about peoples input then just use the damn 2 inch piping and call it a day. You are not going to make a shit load more power just by changing out the intercooler pipes at low boost. The main thing is to at least match your inlet and outlet on the intercooler. Also make sure that you have a good intercooler.

ill be upgrading the intercooler to a much better one

i just want to know what people have made with 2" piping! lol

thats why i said in my OP "whats the max whp youve made/seen from someone running 2" intercooler piping?"

if people out there have made 425whp with 2" piping then i may get the 3071r. if not, then ill stick with the gt2871r. with the 2871r i get free tuning, with the 3071r its about $500 to tune it. plus the 3071 would need a different downpipe. and its about $100 more expensive..

i wish i had 2.25" piping then i woudlnt worry about anything

Like I said you should at least match the intercooler inlet and outlet. If it is 2 inch use 2 inch pipe.

Did you buy pre-made stuff?

2" piping from the turbo to the throttle body and everywhere in between. 3" to the turbo inlet
