Timing belts are not that hard to do. The first thing is to make sure that the car is at TDC with the number one piston being at the top of the cylinder. Then you need to check two things. One is to make sure that the crank shaft is aligned with the mark on the oil pump. The second thing is to make sure that the cam gears are straight with the head (making sure that the up marks are facing to the sky).
After you have the belt on loosen the tensioner and then re-tighten it and turn the crank (CC) until you see the cam gears move three teeth then loosen the tensioner pulley, and tighten it one more time then you should be done.
It is wise to turn the engine a few full revolutions to make sure that it all aligns up.

its a gsr...22T....i see n other threads ppl r saying pry up the tensioner with a screwdriver or sumthing...im gonna try that....damn i wish i had a shop...i dont wanna wait til 2morrow...
