Wait didnt Greg Maddux throw in the mid 80s, and was one of the nastiest pitchers ever? Locations what its all about buddy.

 

While he certainly won't blow it by people he can still pitch effectively if he locates it properly. Having good secondary pitches is also helpful, so if he has a nasty curve that certainly won't hurt.

I also don't know how skilled the hitters are, so it's hard to say.

 

Locations what its all about, if you can throw in the 90s and not place your pitches properly then whats the point? Many people think speed is what its all about,and I said I threw in the 70s last time I threw, shoot I may throw even harder now

depends on how disciplined the hitter is. if he can read pitches. i can tell you right now if you throw me a pitch in the mid 70's in the strike zone, i will put the ball in play. not to mention if you are sittion on an 2-2 count and you try and snap a curve ball anywhere near the srike zone i'm crushing it.
