You have to tint paint to match the oem paint. Basecoat is a bunch of tints. What I ment is that I can even make non oem colors.

 

Is $1000-1500 a good price to get a full car painted same color. Is that too low?

 

Sounds too good to be true, but you never know. What shop gave you that quote?

 

Oh I just made that up. I'm thinking about getting a new paint job in a year or so for the celica and was just thinking was $1500 like a good price. Gets thats too low ie poor quality?

 

That's more than a Maaco job but I don't think it will be a factory quality one. A lot of the cost has to do with just paying the labor for the prep work involved. I'd say for a factory quality paint job you're probably gonna spend at least $2500. You can save a lot of that though by doing the sanding and prep yourself though.
