And with how gun laws are is it possible to acquire one in a weekend? I thought there were background checks and stuff?
Background check is usually instant or close to it, 8am to 1am EST 7 days a week (closed on Christmas). You think they have to dig stuff up on you or something? Everything about you is kept in a handy dandy FBI database.

I'm going to come in from out of town and buy a gun.

Then I'm going to go back where I came from.

Someone is going to get smoked.

Nahhh, lol !

I'm just checking stuff out. As far as Background checks and stuff goes CCW permit holders usually go through in no time, in my exp. Last pistol I bought a week ago took three minutes to go though.

Never said I was going to buy a gun, more so looking for some ammo. The more I find the merrier!

As far as google, a phone book, Ask Jeeves. . . . . . They don't give personal recommendations. The best way for a shop to advertise is through word of mouth. I did do a quick search as I said I did and came up with some shop names. I was just looking to see where the locals to the area would spend their money. That's all.

So for those who helped out, Thanks! For all others thanks for the lolz!

Except for .22lr, I wouldn't buy ammo locally...

From what I've seen, bobs has the best prices around. Where else sells cheaper?

Special ordering stuff through Winfree's or Ron Hess is cheaper in my experience. Or any number of online retailers.

I've heard bad things about Ron Hess that stray me away from there right off the bat. Is winfrees a store as well as a website?

Winfree's has a website, but it's for little more than their contact info.

Nothing wrong with Ron Hess, he just doesn't have patience for idiots, hood rats, and time wasters. He's opinionated, but has no problem with a person who says "I understand what you're saying, but I want it anyways."
