I believe it's because the tiny 9b's don't have enough load in 1-2 to make 15psi. I dunno.

What's the deal with the ssbc?

but as the temp drops, air is more dense... anyone have any clue on wether or not this would affect atmospheric pressure? i know barometric press. changes will yield power gains, but is baro the same thing as atmospheric?? hmm???
You need to not speak; your information is Bullshit. The Turbo & Supercharger people will gain more from colder (denser) air than a N/A setup. What do you think a Turbo or Supercharger does? (From looking at your post you think they even temperatures out before they get ingested!!)

Do you even have a Turbo?

Actually your motor should be under a greater load in the lower gears. To get the car moving from a stop = more work.

I have a supercharger and the cold air makes me lean out more then usual, so I don't benifit from the cold weather where a na ca can. So he is right, and if u don't believe it then well u are an idiot.

hmm...im not sure in what terms of "load" you are talking about. But when concerned with detonation...the highest load points are in the higher gears. detonation is load dependent, and knock likes to happen on a nice 3rd-4th gear pull. think about gear ratios and their mechanical effiecancy that is changed when you go from a higher gear ratio to a lower gear ratio. kinda like...a 10 spd bike. it takes alot more energy to push the 10th gear than it is to push the 2nd gear. but at the same time...ur work output is greater because the distance youve traveled is greater per rotation.

the debate on colder air having a greater effect on N/A cars and FI cars is kinda complex. but i think of temp as acting like pressure. which means it will have similar effects to changing altitude. and since altitude affects FI cars less than N/A cars...intake temperture would also have the same effect. but there is alot of arguement over ambient temp effects.

Then I guess you are the idiot that is driving a "timebomb"; if your car is tuned so that the temperature leans your car out to a point where it does NOT make you any more power......don't drive on a cold day....you're shit is about to blow up!

and you don't have a supercharger.....a leaf blower at best.
