Help me pick my next bike!!

Re: Help me pick my next bike!!
sv's are awesome bikes, my old one had almost 80k miles on it before I blew it up, and even then it only blew up because I kept doing wheelies for miles on end and starved it of oil. I bet it would have easily gone 100k if I didn't beat on it so much.
And as already said, aftermarket support, and cheap/easy mods for sv's are EVERYWHERE.
I know you said you wanted a full fairing, but if it's riding position you're concerned with, I'd look into the SV650N (the naked one) THAT is a comfy, and VERY capable machine. The SVS has much lower clip-ons and a fairing, the SVN has a tube-style handle bar and no fairing. You could always get an SVS and swap the top clamp and bars from an SVN and have the best of both worlds though.

Re: Help me pick my next bike!!
Good advice so far. I already knew about the large argermarket and cult like following of the SV but I plan on keeping it mostly stock so its not that big of a deal to me. Seems like no one here has hands on experince with the ninja. I'll browse by some shops these coming months to sit on each bike.
And the no Honda thing, idk I've always had a grudge against Honda cars. Even though I know their bikes have nothing do with their cars. And I've heard nothing but good things about CBRs. Either way they don't have a 650/type bike.

What about the Z1000 or Honda Interceptor? They're both kind of unique breeds of sport touring bikes IMO with non-aggressive riding positions, and they're both less common on the street than an SV or 650R.
My buddy had a new Z1000 and he ended up getting rid of it and getting an Interceptor. They're both great machines. His fiance is riding a BMW something, and it'd be a great bike to go cross country on.
