no, you will have to layer up when riding with leathers for the winter.

Leather is not good for keeping you warm on the motorcycle because it does not retain heat, unless it has an extremely well made inner lining, but then the jacket starts to get really bulky. You should buy leathers anyway though for the summer, or for safety's sake.

I wear overpants during winter. When it gets really cold, I use the thermals that come with my overpants.
They're textile.

I've got a pair of Burton snowboarding pants that I've found work quite well at blocking the wind... Thermals + Jeans and/or sweatpants + ski pants = You should be nice and toasty.
Balaclava for my neck/face.
I don't' think I've been too worried about my legs so far, it's mainly the upper body -- I definitely need to get a double bubble, the windscreen (Memphis Shades) shoots the wind right at my neck. I hate it.

Make sure you get a turtle neck or something to protect your neck. Wind blowing down your neck will chill you to the core very quickly.

It's all about layering man. Whenever I do have a bike I ride year round, including the coldest months of the year. As someone else stated, leather is incredibly effective at blocking wind, but unless it's lined you will probably still feel cold unless you layer up with thermals or something. The key though is to block all areas where heat can escape and cold can enter, such as the areas around the wrists, neck, waist if it's not a one piece suit, the neck, and even the zippers.

The leather will help out a lot more than anything else, as long as you wear some thermals under and layer you will be fine!
a handful of weeks ago it was in the high 40s low 50s and I rode my girls Can-am from the beach to Williamsburg wearing my snowboarding gear and I was toasty and comfortable!!! lol
