Over in Poquoson there is a shop called “Tidewater Z” and the guys specialize in nothing but Z cars. They are shady as hell though and I wouldn’t let them work on anything I owned.

Also in Suffolk there is a junkyard that deals in nothing but Zs, the owner’s name is Barry, real nice guy and lots of good stuff.

Unfortunately you are going to find that most import fans are idiots and didn’t realize there was a Z before the 300ZXTT.

the Z32 was what really put the line out there though. the Z31 was nice, but nothing really special.

er, I have to disagree. The Z31 was not very appealing to me. But the Z's before that were beautiful cars and ahead of their time. There are many people out there (in their 30's and 40's) that loved the old 240's and 260's. These were some of the top-of-the-line sports cars in their days. But the Z32 was THE import badass of them all. It's a gorgeous car with alot of potential and a pleasure to drive. After all, it cost $40K when it debuted back in '89. That's saying alot considering that most of today's mass-produced 300HP cars are sold for under $40K.

...but seriosuly, the Z has been an import favorite for two decades before the Z32 was released.

i was reffering to the Nissan Z-cars. the datsun Z cars were what really put import sports cars on the map in the U.S. They were beautiful cars, and were very versatile, and are almost as good now as they were back in the day. i guess i shoudl've been more specific.

...true and true. But the stock turbo in the 280 really has a "throw you back into your seat" kick. I was addicted to turbo after that.

didn't it also have boost lag like a son-of-a-btich? i do love the kick in the pants of a higher spooling turbo. turbo lag is ass, but it's a cool feeling. kinda like a flutter valve, not very good performance wise, but just plain cool.
