buy the car back from the insurance company, they will offer you a buy back price if it is totaled, then just ride around with the wrecked up TC and take this as a lesson to learn how to drive

How much did you think it was worth? That's a fairly cheap car when new, and it's now 5 model years old and has 72k miles plus accident damage.

From my past understanding, the problem with the previous accident damage is that they don't have a record of the quality of the damage repairs. Once the car is repaired, they still have to insure the car so they want to be able to stand behind the safety and repair quality.

well I had about a grand in mods on it and could have sold it for around 9 or 10k and was going to over the summer to upgrade to a less cheap car that actually had some power above 3k rpms.

insurance told me the repairs are sub standard and that my best bet would be to take it back to where it was fixed originally but I have no way of finding out where that was. I'm going to find out the final result on monday so Ill post up what happens then

1k dollars in mods equals nothing. Just saying. I am gonna assume this is your first car and you don't understand resale value lol

oh haha your are right that this is my first car but no I totally understand resale value I already had a buyer who wanted the car for that amount but now he doesnt want it at all. Ive been on this site long enough to realize $1k in mods on a car to everyone on here is not even enough for a set of decent rims. I'm in college so I have to be reasonable with my money till I can get a real job then Ill go wild like everyone else on this site . All this shit is just postponing my plans to get a forester xt and fully convert it to XTI status minus the dccd and 6 speed. ohh well

Well hes a dumbass. A previously wrecked scion(and apparently a shitty under the table repair) owned by someone who "modded" it would probably be ragged to hell.
