Many lawyers have free 1st consultations. Go talk to at least 3 local lawyers and pick the one who you most feel comfortable with. If you are picking at random...pick a Jewish last name...its hard to beat a Goldstein or Silverman.

If you were found not guilty or nolle prosecui, you do not have to have a lawyer do it. Its about 300 bucks in fees total, and is not that hard.
The filing fee is 100 IIRC, and there are gonna be other fees involved also. Some clerks have a filing fee, electronic document fee, etc. You will have to be fingerprinted by a deputy or VASP, which is usually 10-40 bucks.
Takes about six months or so, but it is pretty self-explanatory. Go to the court clerks office, and ask the clerk for an expungement packet. You can also download the forms online. You will need either CC-1472 (absolute pardon) or a CC1473 (accquittal/dismissal)
