ODR-SCCA Autocross At Pungo Sunday, April 11th
Of course you should enter! If you don't, you'd regret showing up and not driving.
Welcome! You're going to enjoy it, I'm sure
"Tech" is where your car gets inspected for safety items. When you pull up to tech Sunday, ask for Jim Herley and tell him you're interested in training for tech.
You probably want a few events under your belt first, though. Not that there's any great amount of experienced required, just a short training session, but it really is rather helpful for a novice to be out on course shagging cones your first few events and getting in as many walk-throughs as possible before you run. You'll pick a lot up.

cool, I mainly signed up for tech because I am a mechanic so I figured it would require the least amount of time to figure out. Though I do think it would be very useful to be out with the cones so I would have a better view of other people running the course.
If I were you I'd run on your old tires and just get a feel for it. Unless of course they are showing cords/won't pass tech.

Asher's tires will pass tech, but they are around 3/32 with no back up set to drive home on. I've got some 16 inch steelies he could roll on until he got new tires though.
Had a great time today, as always!
FYI, regarding the optional slalom- after analyzing the video Melissa and I took, - going inside was faster for both of us, but only by a tiny sliver of a second.
