i have had my cams for a month now and last friday it just slowly started happening and getting worse and worse. now i cant get on it at all...

alright i went out side to double check the maf problem i unpluggered it and let it run for a couple of mins and the car doesnt have a miss and motor runs smoother actually at idle, but im still not throwin the code

i would try to throw a single cam ka maf or another sr maf and see if it helps. also wait til your motor is cool, start it up, and feel around your turbo, manifold, and elbow and see if you feel any air coming out aka blown turbo gaskets. i know my sr ran really bad when any of them blew

there isnt any blow gaskets i checked for those plus it wouldnt be so quiet ha but thanks. i got a friend with an sr coming today and im gonna put his maf on to check it out, if thats not it then im gonna check all my wiring, if it is my maf then im gonna have to secure my stuff down better, drifting and a lose maf dont do well togeather and if my maf is bad i have a feeling that is why...

i didnt have a tune on my car and i had pretty much the same thing you have from what it sounds like and i didnt have that problem

alrighty see the guy before me rigger my plog lets just say it held on by mehchanics wire and noone sells a plug and zip tieing the maf doesnt really work that well for some odd reason. so i think all the vibrations mess my stuff up. but i looked online before i put the cams in it siad i didnt have to have a tune with them but im gonna have to get one.

the dealership should sell that metal clip that goes in the plug, theyre probably the same size on the KA MAFS as the SR20det

the sr plug is a little long ha i tried with one i got from the junk yard. i even tried a all motor sr maf plug

Rocker arm was loose so if anyone has these same problems with aftermarket cams look into this and the lesson of the day is get rocker arms stoppers or your crap will be as much of a fail as mine...
