Single-car accident takes down utility pole in Chesapeake
BY MIKE HOLTZCLAW
A motorist was injured Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident that severed a utility pole in the Western Branch section of Chesapeake.
The driver of a red Dodge Viper convertible lost control of his vehicle on Tyre Neck Road just around 6 p.m. and went off the road to the right. The car overturned and struck a utility pole, snapping the pole in half. The driver was pinned in the car, and emergency personnel had to extricate him from the vehicle. The man was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
The accident damaged a transformer, leaving neighboring homes without power.

Hmmmm.... anymore pics? Looks to be a modded SRT-10. The ACR doesn't have dual racing stripes like that. They did offer an aero-kit type option on the regular Vipers.
