im betting missing link. you may have that setup to vent boost before it gets to the map sensor, but i had that before as well and it doesnt work that well. get yourself a missing link. then boost away
you can use a bleeder valve to lower the ratio of your fmu if you're running too rich.
i know there are better means of fuel managment but i have never shopped around for any. What can i replace the FMU with in the future?
replace the FMU w/ the AFC hack or a hondata. hondata would be best. two missing links? you can only use one (or should) at a time. if you already have a missing link, ditch the check valve idea....check valves suck. i doubt it's the fuel filter. if it was, it would be choking the motor in boost when he needs the most fuel flow.

yeah i dont think we are talking about the same thiung either
what im talking about are just these little plastic valves that only let air out not in. I cut the vacuum line that went from the throttle body to the map sensor and placed the valves in between the two using T's. They are clear and go on the end of their own vacuum lines. i dont know how else to explane them.

i kinda had the same problem too, my car sometimes stop responding and acts like a fuel cut off or something, later on i found out that was because my fpr nut came lose and drop the fuel pressure down to like 15, not sure if this is ur problem but check out ur fuel pressure and see if its surging.
