He had a bad line a long time before he left the curbing. I'm assuming he just came in to the corner too hot and couldn't catch it. Look at the difference in heading angle between the vert and the coupe behind him. He was already too far rotated after mid-corner it looks like. You're definitely not catching it once you start sliding on a left-right combo like that, unless you're trying to provoke a slide at lower speeds.
