yeh its on 4....redoing it tomorrow afternoon...i went and got the haynes manual....so hopefully i can fix this prob

U said everyhing works fine until it hits ur shift lite mark right? If it does before u disconnect everything do this small thing, the shift lite should have to wires that go inside on the backside of the tach, sometimes the 2 wires touch eachother cause its a tight space back there and when it activates the light it shorts out.

they are inclosed in a plastic tube..so they should be fine

yeah i know thier inclosed in a plastic tube which is just to make it look pretty but then it should go in the back of the tach and there should be like a rubber cover back there, take that off and there should be 2 screws for each wire, make sure that they are screwed on good and not touching eachother. But if there isnt anything i described just ignore what the fuk i just said.
