Cats (not the furry kind) were worth tons of money a few years back for the platinum in them I believe. They're not worth that much anymore. I think there's a scrap yard off of Oceana that will pay out for scrap metal. I used to throw all my old/bad track rotors in the trash. My buddy was helping me take my old appliances to the VB dump one day and on the way back he says, "Why didn't you take it all to Oceana Salvage, they buy scrap metal?" Yeah thanks for telling me this after leaving the dump.

So from now on I'm taking all my spare race car metal to them.... haven't done it yet so I have no idea on prices, but it's better than $0. The H-pipe I took off the "new" Z06 is all banged up so I'll probably just scrap it.

i forgot it's been years but they said up to $75. i would say i got 20 bucks, i just remember feeling contented with the money they gave me.

they check your ID and they keep a photocopy of it, i guess just in case u stole the cat..

I sold some cats a few years ago to a guy in Illinois... Martins Metal was the place but I can't find it anywhere on google.. I ended up getting $150.. the guy probably tanked or something

got $45 for it
but like jiorjo said they take a copy of your license incase you steal them
