Re: uti?
as others have said, go the community college route. you will hear glory stories of guys 19-20 making 40-60k a year, and while those can be true, the likely hood of you being "that guy" is slim to none. i knew a guy who graduated HS in '05 and in '07 was working at a local chevy dealership making over 40k, but he's the first and only person i know who actually was able to land a job like that. it would be a more cost efficient route to try and start as a lube tech and work your way up.

Re: uti?
when i was 16-17 sitting in auto tech classes listening to the ability to make 40k next year, that was a glory story yeah. now, a few years later, not so much. just trying to show OP that its not worth the 50k worth of debt he will come out with, not to mention the ~6k worth of tools "you need to buy".

Re: uti?
To be honest I went to the UTI in NC which is the Nascar campus and I loved every minute of it and learned alot but it is mostly based on dealership work. If you do deicde to go they can do Make specific training and it is well worth it so keep your grades up and go to class!!! It depends on if you want to spend the money or save some money and work your way up throught the ranks at a dealer by yourself.... I worked at a dealer from 16-18 and it was worth every minute of it just not my thing i dont like dealer so i went to NC fro racing and got jobs just cut throat down there for job in any industry specailly racing! Grades and Attendence matter almost more than what you can accually do. My grades suffered some since I am not very book smart but I am hands on so when I work I can do it no problem but other people who arnt as good as me got oppertunities before me so it is a weird system if you ask me.

Re: uti?
If you go to tcc and then try and get a job at a dealership, they will think you're smart and want to learn more about working on cars in dealerships. If you go to uti and then try and get a job at a dealership, they will think you a wannabe tuner/nascar faggot.
