The dmv gave me one month of registration to complete emissions and inspection. In your previous post you said keep the tints and deal with the tickets. Which made it sound like I wouldn't have to pass inspection to get a full year registration.

The car is registered, but only for a month.

Yah I guess its only the front windows that matter. The rear can be as dark as you want.

Emissions has nothing to do with tint. If you want to register your car at least, do emission and pass it, make sure all engine/software related parts are working and no check engine light is one. Once you passed emission you can register your car with DMV. You probably have a pink crossed out zero on your windshield and have 2 weeks to fix the issue ( I think). You need to go to a tint shop and either remove the illegal tint or remove all the tint. The legal tint is 50% for front passenger & driver and 35% for the rear windows.

50% FRONT
35% REAR

Truck and SUVs are the only vehicles where the rear dont matter.

No, I said to keep the tint and deal with the tickets, OR get a different tint gradient and pass inspection. Those are the two obvious options. Basically keep what you have and deal with the consequences (assuming you would find a shady shop to give you an inspection sticker), OR do it the legal way.

Depends on the shop... If they dont notice/dont care it goes through. If they do care/notice, it doesnt go through. VA law is nothing on the windshield, 50% front, 35% rear.

You can get this form filled out by your doctor, then you can have 35% all the way around, top 5 inches of windshield 35%, rest of windshield 70%...

Edit: Hurp durp yurp; herp.

That's illegal too since you'll be maintaining residency in VA.

I mean they even bitch out military members who live here that are residents of another state
