my friend got a voicemail from someone, saying he should slow down, while a cop was following him, the number that called him wasnt shown and didnt recognize the voice, can they trace a phone number or something now?

Similar thing happened to me... Did the cop look like this?

Basically it is a low powered scanner that picks up a cell phones sim/pim and displays the phone number on the scanner.
People in NYC have gotten their hands on some greymarket units from Hong Kong and have been using them to get phone numbers of people, usually hot girls, at malls and various other places. Only drawback is if there are a lot of cell phones in the range of the scanner, it will grab them all, but you won't be able to single out whos number belongs to who.
haha i got something a little cooler that i built from reading all my dads ew (eletronic warfare) books. I made a passive radar jammer. IT if dont admit a signal then you cant trace it ..

I had a voicemail displayed originally on the phone as (no number) but when i checked the voicemail and the computer voice woman was reading off the number she said

Your call back number is nine... one... one... and then it was no message.

Scared me :P But I never knew you could call from 9-1-1 considering when the number is called, it's just routed to a million different numbers where people answer your call.

Idno..

Active-Trac is incapable of doing that.

Active-Trace uses a tag, a card..and a reader.

With out a tag on the actual cell phone, Active-Trac cannot Read it. Its sort of like a two paging device and its used it hospitals a lot. My g/f mom is a cardiac technician nd when we go to visit in the hospital ive seen them. You can sit down and watch the computer screen and see exactly where the tag is.
