Just change out the damn starter. You are going to wind up taking it out anyway. Take it Advance Auto to test it.

If it just clicks, it could be a ground problem or a power problem from the battery. The click you're hearing is the small relay that activates the starter solenoid. It sounds like the starter isn't getting enough current to work properly.

You can diagnose this in a couple of minutes with a voltmeter.

He just told me one of the grounds was fucked up, the one from the front of the bay to the front of the engine.. Hopefully that is the problem.. brakes are stiff also, like a dead battery

That would do it. The starter needs a return path from the engine block to the battery.

brakes being stiff doesnt have anything to do with a dead battery....where do you come up with this stuff?

um no....the battery has nothing to do with the brakes...the brakes are hydraulic and dont have anything electrical even attached to them...

they may be harder to push down when the engine dies since there is no vacumn going in the booster..
