SRT-4 owners...
SRT-4's are very responsive to mods. There are a lot of independent shops putting out mods for them and now the bigger companies are starting to come out with stuff. The mods are very well priced. I love mine. The only two problems that I have come across so fare are:
1) Wheel hop is a pita
2) It's not all that fun to drive when it's cold until it's had about 15 miles of warm up time. Then it's good to go.

Cars are about a lot more than top speed and 0-60, trust me.. you start to value the little things after you've had your far for a while.
My 7 year old M3 cost as much as an SRT4, keeps up with a flat power band NA engine w/ actual torque, out handles it, has this stuff called leather, a real interior.. etc.
Just saying, haven't spent a single $ on upkeep for this baby and she's got 85k now.. I'd go for an all around performer.
