im with adam... keep the lude. and heres a concept, build it the RIGHT way and it wont blow. do your research and all your hmwk. besides. why split your attention between the lude payments, the DSM, the insurance for both and maint on both. be patient and careful. quit trying to leave the lude. if you really wanna get another project SELL the damn lude and get a scooby. or take out a loan and get a lancer dammit. pussy...

Do you have a second car? I fear for you if you want to mess around with a 1G DSM and need reliability or you want it running a lot. I would stick with your H22, turbo preludes are pretty good cars, and you've got a nice reliable engine that has potential.

The prelude would be my 2nd car so when the DSM is down I still have something to drive. H22 turbos are nice... but right now I think its going to be more money than Im willing to spend to get it where I want it. A DSM would be a lot cheaper including the cost of the car.

Ive done my research ass. Ive come up with the total amount of money it would cost to get the car where I want it and it just doesnt seem worth it to me. I can afford payments on the lude, mods for the DSM, and insurance on both.

Ive also tried to sell the lude and they offered way too little so I decided to keep it. After its payed off I'll probably get crazy with it.

Fuck all this bullshit, buy a 98'+ WS6. It's extremely fast and reliable and doesn't require a penis pump to be insanely fast.

DSM and reliability don't go together.

I say fuck the DSM look for an A2 Jetta GLi or GTi and do a VR6 swap on it and make that your toy car, those things ROCK, I have my 99 Lude and it's nice and all but for a daily driver thats reliable I dunno if you can beat the dubs! I am working on finding a 85-92 VW and prolly either do a 2.0L 16V swap on it or a VR6 swap and build it up, hell you can fit 9.0" wide tires on the A2 chassis with minor mods and they are CHEAP, you can get a complete A2 vw for about 1000 corrado g60 or vr6 motor and trans in decent shape for another 2 and have a real sleeper!
