only thing you may want to consider is somebody setting up your harness, its possible it will be cut, check out heavythrottle for this service

I think the hardest thing about the swap is the water pump hoses need to be longer since the engine is for a Righthand drive car. Other than that its a direct bolt in replacement. Sport Compact Car or Super Street did a step by step swap article about a year or so ago. Cant really remember what issues it was. Good Luck. I would come and help but I dont know shite about Nissans. If you dont find someone though I would definitely come out and drink with you and turn wrenches.

ya dude, i smashed a bag of trash on the interstate back in late October/November. it cracked my bumper all to hell and twisted my fenders a little. it's fixed, the fenders are strait and stronger than the first time i made them. i just need a little more work on the bumper and it'll be painted shortly after this swap. (my shop has been gettin busier the past few weeks so i haven't had time to work on my own shit... )


I've got printed instructions off HeavyThrottle (srswap.com) and those magazines that were listed (plus a stack of others). if everybody could show up and lend a hand that would be great. like have a guy splicing the harness (the sr harness is complete uncut). a few building the motor (bolt on clutch, turbo, manifold, etc.) and a few yanking the old KA moter. prob help get things done smoother and faster, since some have done this before....
