alright thanks, ill buy a 02 sensor after i buy my tie rod ends

 

Check the wiring first. There's no use buying a new sensor if the wiring is the cause of the problem.

ok so i checked the 02 wiring, and i found a problem, the connector on the engine harness is gone that plugs into the 02 sensor connector,

so i got bare wires.

the color wires i got it

white
green/black
yellow/black
black/white

can anybody tell me what wires are for what?

like for ground, signal, and heaters?

i have tried google and they just give me the wires for the o2 sensor its self, i need it for my connector so i can wire a new connector on it.

Wow. Sounds like a winner did this swap. I do not know off of the top of my head what wires go to which spot on the plug. If it was me I would look for another engine harness and replace the hole thing rather than splicing wires. And with the way it sounds the installer might have dorked other things up with that harness.

the best thing to do is to look at another civic or integra to get the wiring information.

thanks, i actually went to work today and looked up all data(our repair/labor site) and i found the connector and found the colors for it,
so im going to wire them up tonight or tomorrow and see what happens, hit 5k again and see if it comes back on.

and yes the person who did this swap wasnt smart.

thats why i got honda experts for friends lol

 

Ok so i looked up wiring diagrams and wired up the connector right, and i also bought a new o2 sensor

but the cel is still on...what can this be?

Did you reset the ecu?

 

You need to check the rest of the wiring, not just the connector that the sensor plugs in to. If it's an O2 sensor heater problem, check the wiring diagram and see if you have power where you should.

 

i did reset the ecu, when i start it it comes on about 10 secs after its started.

im about to just take it to a shop and have them do it.

get everything right and double check over everything
