Well shit, I'm already on the line.
If they want to total it and want to give me a ridiculously low amount of many, can I refuse it?
Yes, as long as you do not accept their payment. You can keep the car. Mind you that you will have already reported the damage and they will be very weary of any future claims.

I seriously doubt they will give you much for the FC.

I am not entirely sure that your damage would be covered anyways. Unfortunately I no longer work in a call center and I don't have anybody nearby to ask. I can find out though if you need to know.

Well, the lady said if the problem is a result of the bump, then they'll cover it. For example, if it's electrical or the cause was because of somethign the bump started. Which, there's no other explanation of why it just all of a sudden started happening. She did say though, if it's purely mechanical, it won't be covered.

Well, good luck. If you need any advice, give me a call. I think they're gonna try to fuck you on this one. That's how our biz is most of the time.

Yea, I figured it was worth a shot though.

Well, the initial word is that the motor's blown. My wife said the guy told her it has no compression. I'm finding out now what the specifics are. I'll edit this post later when I find out.
