i would do about the same. the main thing is that you shouldnt run at the same rpm for and extended period of time. id just drive it at different rpms/ speeds untill you get around 500 miles on it then change the oil
some people change the oil after the 1st 100 miles as well

i think you got a small amount of time to seat the rings . i would change oil like 5 times if i had a built motor
