try running the ecu that the harness goes with so you know all the pins are correct, and are we talking y7 or y8? shouldn't matter, but like the other guy said, obd2 a and obd2b both are different in their own way.
EDIT: and like fabrik8 said, make sure all the obvous shit is operational first before you get into wiring. coolant system is pretty basic.

No. There's more hoses on a y8 then a y7 the y8 block had a valve that two hoses go in to the y7 block doesnt. I was tryin to use the y8 intake and harness from the 2000 cuz thats what was there before but it kept overheating.

Changing a harness and intake manifold won't make an engine overheat. You're either getting fooled by the temp gauge, or you have a problem that you're overlooking. Just like I said before.

I already checked everything.... Like I said above the last post you made the y7 intake has less hoses then the y8 intake there's two that go to the y8 block that the y7 doesnt have
