Any of you guys use Frame sliders??!!
slow rolla- they are usually a cylinder shaped piece of urethane which connects to the bike's frame by replacing the motor mount bolts on either side of the bike, the point is they will hit the ground first before your frame or bodywork in case of a accident and minimize damage... they do a great job, only problem is on many bikes they require that you use a circular saw to cut a hole in the fairing like on the red cbr pictured below, it would be better to have a clean hole w/ a frame slider in it than a rashed up fairing and scratched frame, but some people really don't want to cut into their fairing so companies also make a kind which has a bracket which connects to the motor mount and extends the frame slider out past the fairing so you don't have to cut it, theres a picture of one of those listed last, only problem with these is 9 times out of 10 the bracket just snaps in half before the slider gets a chance to work, they are also dangerous because the bracket also creates leverage againts your motor mount, so theres a chance also if the impact is hard enough that it can bend or break your motor mount... heres a link w/ tons of pictures of frame sliders on all kinds of bikes
