Let me get this straight...your reverse lights were fucking up your ECU? Or something like that...couldn't quite understand you...

yes that was happening to me... i've done many EF B16 swaps and only had this problem with the hfs... on the si's and DX's that i've done i haven't had this problem... also the hf's that i've done were 89 and 88...so i'm unsure about 90+....

your knock sensor could be detecting knock when you get on it hard, like merf said.. thats why it comes on after you run the motor hard...

check your timing, also the sensor is probably just bad... try a different one

mine did the same check the wiring of these items as well as putting a volt/ohms meter on the sensors to check them if their broken ect is mostliky broke mine was as for the knock sensor its a cheap sensor replace it any way better be safe then sorry... plug ur speed cable back in for the 17 code to go away and reset the ecu after fixing this and see

i know and i grounded them off...



also i already got rid of all my codes now but every now and then the knock will come up is there a way to just by pass it so it never works?
