Tidewater Auto Electric..BOO
I have not had anything T/S there in a whlie maybe they going down hill from the last time I used them. The installer/ aftermarket guy does leave something to be desired. I will give you that.
On one hand I think that yeah they phucked up for missing the fuse but on the other hand that is definetly something I would have checked before I pay anyone some B.S. diagnostic fee.... that being said I have dealt with Tidewater on a few occasions and so have friends of mine (with domestic passenger vehicles and trucks) and they have had nothing bad to say. I brought my last car (90' Acura Legend LS Coupe) to them to get the electrical system straight as it had sat for a while and rats/mice ate some of the wiring away on it and after 500 they had corrected it and it ran great. Everyone makes mistakes if they overlooked a fuse and they then decided to try and charge you 500 after finding out they messed up ok Bad on them, if they apologized (which it appears they did and charged you ? diagnostic?) then they would have made it ok with me. And in ANY shops defense if they don't fix the problem for whatever reason I think they should be compensated in some way for their time.
no. they shouldnt. they said things were bad when they were not. I was paying them for their expertise & knowledge. If they arent doing/using what i pay them for then they dont get paid. And about your fuse comment. What if I was somebody who didnt know how to check fuses, or anything about electrical. I would have just been screwed out of 500.00 for parts and things that werent wrong. It doesnt matter how much i know or dont know. they fucked up. bottom line. Your probably just defending them because youve gotten work done by them that you felt was satisfactory. Im glad they didnt screw you.

Negative battery cable, one thing that will make you remember this is when you go to strip and positive lead with your teeth and get a shock...
yes it was a blown fuse.. your telling me all the things wrong I did and thats lovely, if it had anything to do with them overlooking the most basic thing that I overlooked as well. The AFC hack worked, but i switched it back to stock because i didnt have time to tune it. You can say all you want but the fact still remains... they tried charging me for shit I didnt need.
so even if they tried charging you for shit you didnt need and they put all that shit in do you think that they would still charge yoru for that if i didnt fix the problem????? everything ive had them do for me has been perfectly fine.. just stay calm close your eyes and count to 10 .(my uncle owns that shop and he doesnt need someone like you giving him a bad reputation, accidents happed you should have talked to him about it if you didnt and he would have definately taken care of it

you shouldn't have to talk to an owner to be taken care of. i do customer service for a living. no matter what business you are in you will not stay around unless you have great customer service. if you have to talk to the owner only to get great customer service then there is a problem...a big problem.
