Good Top Gear liked the Holden Monaro/Vauxhall Monaro/Vauxhall VX-R8/Pontiac GTO/Pontiac G8 so there could be some hope yet. Clarkson will definitely harp on the solid rear axle thing, even though he couldn't tell you the functional difference between solid and IRS if you held a gun to his head, but a lot of power for not a lot of money is the one thing they've always liked about American cars. They liked the Chrysler Crossfire Convertible of all things mainly because of the price compared to the other cars in its class.
