HELP ME DECIDED!!!!! EVO or STi
its sus is a little better designed for the lighter engine. its slightly more nimble. but very slightly and the fact is very few ppl can actually tell the diffrence. Not to mention thats stock numbers your seeing but i don't think anyone here keeps stuff stock.
IMO the 4g63 in any reincarnation has been done. there is nothing new to learn about it. no new limits. so your pretty much getting a 4 door gsx that can turn well. I'd prolly get a rx8 before a evo just so i can help mazda bring the new rx7 out and maybe drop in a 20b 3 rotor and eat everything on the road. Not to much more you can look forward to with a evo. If you want a sample of 2.0lt vs 2.5lt just take a ride in ben's wrx then in shawn's sti. both pretty much the same mods. same exhuast and all but shawns is a whole diffrent beast. it makes a diffrence ppl

Do yourself a favor and actually drive an EVO. It is an awesome car to drive, with a steering response like nothing else. That being said, the STi doesn't loose much in handling to it, and easily muscles it out. I think the STi looks better too, as well as having a much better transmission.
i had the same predicament and look where i went...haha
6spd vs 5spd.....if you go with the EVO you go with the DSM reliability package....SHIT haha so far havent heard of many problems with subarus
but DSMs are a whole diff story....herd bout evos breaking down trannys clutches blahblah that is if youre going to be running the car hard
the STi handling is awesome...unless youre a autox king then the STi handling should suffice
the only thing that i really liked about the EVO vs the STi are the seats...
the EVOVII and down look way better too

The Evo is a very evolved machine that responds extremely well to mods (not that the STI does not) but the upgrades seem to be very affordable for the Evo...
Get the Evo man!!
