previous owner ran a 14.1 in the car as it sits. it has mopar performance ecu, 804 injectors, and 2 1/4 exhaust. the car is a turbo I configuration and is currently non intercooled. im going to build another motor on the side and drop it in when its done along with a better tranny. 2.2, forged internals, t3/t4, etc. should be nicely into the 12s when the other motor/tranny combo is in. when that will be is another story, but should be around june or july. thanks for the input guys.

If you have bigger injectors and a ECU, make a 2-stage boost controller and if its not, fool the computer into making a 3 bar map sensor and go run it. You should hit mid/low 13s if you run 15-18psi and use the 2-stage BC effectively. I want one of those cars bad now

I saw that car on the highway a few weeks ago.. dunno if it's the same guy, but the monster tach and intercooled front bumper aren't exactly common.

i loved my daytona...the only thing that sucked was the tach wouldnt work, so i didnt quite know when to shift...needless to say going into second was a bitch...

these cars have loads of torque, and can be a bitch to control for the first timer, but once you get in there a few times...its the best...im thinking on getting another '84 turbo z and trying again, but that'll be in a few years...
