It really depends on the areas you frequent but commuting from VB (not 'the' beach though) to Norfolk and Greenbrier over the past six years with an open 4cyl (resonators, no muffler) has only netted me one exhaust ticket on 64E but he didn't say if he actually pulled me for the exhaust or the 20% tint, no front plate, two-year-old inspection, etc. He just started running down a list as he walked up when I threw up my hands like "why you hasslin me." I guess he was bored.

It's still about $96/fix-it which is easy enough.

Usually if your not caught speeding and there just pulling you over for non moving violations , they just run your plates and registration etc.. they just make sure you don't have warrants or whatever and ask if you have any illegal substances or weapons then let you go , but sometimes they'll be assholes and get you

i don't really see them as assholes... lol. i mean yeah, it sucks we get ticketed for it, but it IS a law.

part of growing up i guess. when i was 18, i thought all cops were assholes, but then i started thinking of why i was always arrested or pulled over. then realized who the actual asshole was.

Nah va cops aren't that strict, some are. I have a loud exhaust and intake, never got a ticket. one of my friends got one though.
