honestly you should use 3/4 mdf and if you really wanna get down put some trim along the edges and seems(any part of the box that has a 90 degree angle, woofers dont like those angles) to seal it up and get better frequency off of it and then fiberglass the whole inside...

dont use 3m spray adhesive use contact. contact the carpet and the box and wait for them to tack up and then pull it tight and smooth out the wrinkles. i also install carpet and such for a living.

thats like a 300 lb box, god damn!!!!! thats 3 tenths in the quarter.

agreed, ive been making boxes for a lil over 7 years now. i just never really been able to do the carpet. i have my design down with everything already measured out ref to the particular speakers. im using 1/2 mdf cuz its in between to use screws and glue.

use screws and liquid nails. its an adhesive caulk. and then go with the contact adhesive trust me it will work.
