honestly id say its close. my stock 1g n/a beat a stock 420a eclipse. but dont the spyders have 2.4's in em. i still say the volvo would give it a good run if not straight walkin it

2002 Spyder GS, 147hp NA (dunno if thats crank or wheel power) bone stock.
vs.
2001 Volvo S60 170 fwhp NA - both 2.4L (volvo has an i5 though). 3042lbs vs the S60 3230lbs. - stakes is $300 so im hoping he keeps his arrgoance for at least a little longer.

not sure...i thought it had the 2.4 from 95-99, but i could be wrong....i just realized the guy never specified year, he could be talking about a 3rd gen for all we know...

i have beat them in the CRX, i don't think you should have a problem. IF you have never been to the track i would suggest you go before hand. One small fuck up can lose you $300 real quick. You should try and make 2 out of 3 or something.
