The peta morons will bitch and whine their asses off, but they know they can't do a damn thing about it.
However, if you give them even the slightest reason to call the cops to break it up, you know damn well they'll do it. Even if it's something as minor as littering.
The best thing to do is have the cookout, and ignore anything peta says to you. Don't yell back at them, don't throw anything, don't give them the finger, don't even acknowledge their presence. And sweet baby raping jesus, don't even think about trying to go onto their property.
Seriously. They thrive on publicity and public response: if you don't give it to them, they lose. The last thing that needs to happen is for it to turn into a big media spectacle, because I'm almost certain they'll do their damndest to paint you guys as the villains.
